At this time with the entire valley downgraded to Alert status and people are able to return to their properties there will be no more updates on the fire on this site unless that changes. Hotspots exist and wind can whip up flame as it did only a few days ago near gun creek. So stay vigilant.
Our thoughts are with those who lost structures and property.
To all those people who volunteered for their communities and supported people - a huge thank-you. There is no doubt that we have a group of amazing communities in the Bridge River Valley.
To the BC Wildfire Personnel who have worked tirelessly to keep the fires at bay to the best of their abilities and often with limited assets due to the fact that so much of BC was on fire this summer. It's great to see the BCWF crews still out there mopping up hotspots, fighting fire and keeping watch.
